Florida Notice of Sale / Bill of Sale
HSMV 82050 from Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for motor vehicles, mobile homes, off-highway vehicles, or vessels.
Start with the official state PDF or title-transfer form where one exists, then check the completed document against the title, VIN, mileage, seller identity, payment path, and lien proof before money changes hands.

REG 135 from the California DMV for vehicle or vessel sales where a bill of sale is useful for the transfer record.
T-7 from the Georgia Department of Revenue records vehicle, odometer, seller, purchaser, lienholder, and certification details.
Texas does not publish a generic private-party bill of sale as the main path; Form 130-U is the official title-transfer application.
Virginia allows a handwritten bill of sale in some cases; SUT-1 is the official price certification for vehicles more than 5 years old.
Colorado references DR 2173, but state guidance says the form is purchased through listed vendors rather than freely downloaded from DMV.
| Section | Fields to include |
|---|---|
| Vehicle | Year, make, model, body/color, VIN, odometer reading, and plate or title number when relevant. |
| Parties | Buyer and seller legal names, mailing addresses, signatures, and signature dates. |
| Payment | Sale price, payment method, receipt language, and when keys/title transfer. |
| Title and terms | Title/lien proof, as-is or warranty language, odometer disclosure, and notary fields if the state or parties use them. |
The VIN, seller name, mileage, sale date, and vehicle description should match the title and the actual vehicle. A clean-looking PDF is not proof of clean ownership.
Upload the seller's completed paperwork when you have it. The review marks missing fields, vague payment terms, title/lien gaps, and signature issues before you pay.
